Tonight we are going to start off February with one of the random winners from the Eternal Crusade Giveaway that we just wrapped up this weekend. Of course they are not any particular order.

Hey Natfka!
Well, this is the first time I'm writing to you - I wanted to do it before, to show you my models or just share my little blog with your readers, but something have always interrupted me. But now the giveaway has persuaded me to do it right now :)

Ok, so what do I have for you are the pictures of Chaos Space Marines Lord from Dark Vengeance set. I've painted him in colours of the Thousand Sons, one of the most interesting Legions, I love their history. I painted him as the last model from this set, I wanted him to be my best looking model so I had dilemma on how to paint his sword. I could just paint it with runefang, add shading etc, but it would be so generic... So I came up with this necronish idea! And also I don't usually name my models, but I thought that he deserve the name: Kronos the Desecrator!

If someone would be interested I have more pictures on my blog mdf40k.blogspot.com (I have some 360 photos, simple tutorials and lots of pictures).

Best Regards
Captain Dred

    1. Thanks a lot:) Hah, I'm kinda proud of this sword, because as I mentioned it in the mail - I didn't want to make just another sword painted with runefang so I've been experimenting a bit and I didn't know how exactly it will turn out in the end. But I'm glad you like it:)

  2. Nice work, 2 suggestions, drill your gun barrels and use inking/shades to make a more distinct seperation between colors like the metalics and give depth to. things like the tassle on the sword hilt and the horns on his helmet

    1. well I usually drill my guns (you can see it on my blog), but this time I was a bit afraid that I'll mess this up. But almost all of my guns have the barrels drilled :) And I also use shades, Nuln Oil and Agrax Earthshade mainly (for example his cape, the chainmail, pistol) but I don't want to overuse (is that a word?:P) them too much, but I'm still practising and experimenting:)

    1. I may consider buying such wash in the future :) right now I only buy paints I know I will use (that's why I made a plasma core green and not, for instance, purple). Thank you all for suggestions, I appreciate it!
